What a Few Doorknock Appeal Volunteers Have to Say

"I've always been an active volunteer because of I know that many community organisations which provide activities for our youth and the aged or disabled would not exist without a base of volunteers.

I also get satisfaction from assisting someone in a less fortunate position than myself - that nice fuzzy feeling that your actions and efforts are appreciated by another human being."

Ray Freeman

"From an early age I learnt from family, school, church and community associations that, as part of our normal activities, we should help less fortunate when and where we are able."

Two Hours Can Make a World of Difference

Each June we conduct our Doorknock Appeal to raise funds for eligible beneficiaries. We rely on volunteers to assist us in collecting donations, with the goal of knocking on every door in Whitehorse!

By spending just 1 1/2 to 2 hours of your time during the month of June, you can make a huge difference by helping over 40 charitable organisations that assist those in our community who are in need.

Perhaps your local Church; leisure; school; work; or sewing group would like to join our ranks of volunteer collectors and gain satisfaction from knowing that they're helping the less fortunate in Whitehorse?  The more the merrier.

Phone us on 03 9894 4744, or contact us to learn more about becoming involved in our Doorknock Appeal.
