How you can help
There are many ways you can help us and therefore your local Whitehorse Community.
We welcome volunteers to help out at our fundraising events, perhaps you would like to join our board or maybe consider corporate sponsorship, a bequeathment or making a cash donation. Please feel free to give us a call or see below for more information.
Corporate Sponsorship
We greatly value the contribution of all our supporters and sponsors. By making a one off, annual, ongoing or in-kind donation, or by sponsoring an event your organisation could come on board.

How we help
Our mission is to promote local giving by raising and distributing funds to organisations that provide health, wellbeing, education, recreation and support services. The Whitehorse Community Chest raises funds throughout the year and then allocates them on an annual basis via our annual grants program.
Making a Bequest to The Chest
Leaving a gift in your Will to the Whitehorse Community Chest is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy.
The Whitehorse Community Chest Fund has been established so earnings on the principal are distributed annually to those organisations that support the disadvantaged in our community.
Leaving a bequest to The Chest is easy, but it is important to consult with your lawyer and ask for appropriate clauses to be inserted into your will and/or memorandum of wishes. We have set out below some sample clauses used previously, which may be useful to you and your lawyer. To receive a bequest brochure with further information please contact our office on 9285 4890.
Annual Grants Program
Each year we carefully research and consider submissions from registered charitable organisations. The Whitehorse Community Chest financially supports those who provide services or programs that, either directly or indirectly, benefit people experiencing disadvantage within the Whitehorse Community.
Our 2019 Grants Program closes 30th June, 2019.
If you represent a registered charitable organisation, we welcome your application to become a beneficiary. To be eligible the stated purpose of the grant must be consistent with the charitable purpose of the applicant organisation and the mission of the Whitehorse Community Chest.
All applications must be submitted on our Official Grant Application.
