Cr Denise Massoud

Denise has lived in Whitehorse for over 32 years. She has 2 adult children and is married to Mark with 1 stepson. She is a past member of a parkland Advisory Committee, local school committees, secretary and coordinator for a local sporting club and past secretary of Whitehorse Ratepayers and Residents Association.

Her qualifications include B Sc (Hons) from Melb Uni, majoring in Chemistry, Diploma of Education, Grad Dip (Computing) from Monash Caulfield, Executive Management (University of New South Wales), GAICD (Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors) and current member, and Registered Electrical Contractor (No 22352). Her career has spanned 20 years in secondary and tertiary education, plus 15 years working in Information Technology focussing on eCommerce and Business Intelligence for large organisations and government agencies across Australia and New Zealand. She now works in providing electrical and lighting services to commercial and industrial customers.

Denise was elected as a Whitehorse Councillor (Central Ward) in October 2012. She particularly values the Whitehorse treed residential environment and with an ageing community recognises the importance to support enhanced aged care and disability services in the home.
